She wanted to add some variety to her gym routine, and found a sense of community in group fitness that kept her coming back. Her classmates challenged her to work harder and try more classes, which kept her engaged. She saw significant improvement in her own fitness, and decided she wanted to share that experience with others. Five years ago, Ana became certified in RPM, and a year later, in BodyPump. One of the reasons she chose to teach Les Mills classes is how inclusive they are, for participants of all fitness levels. In her instruction, she incorporates cues that are helpful to both beginner and advanced participants, so everyone can focus on continuous improvement. Seeing people push themselves harder, and encourage others around them to do the same, is her favorite part about being an instructor.

It wasn’t until January 2014 that Natalie began practicing yoga. Residing in a small town in Tennessee there were no studios, let alone instructors, to guide her. Determined to find the edge of what yoga had to offer her she pursued her personal practice in her living room.

Months later she moved to Cincinnati, OH to be closer to her family which led to her first experience within a classroom. The sense of community she felt from practicing with others made her realize that the possibilities for healing, connection, and growth were far beyond her understanding. Yoga was no longer just a journey of self-exploration. It was a calling to provide this service of self-discovery and peace of mind to others. Natalie had planned on moving to Seattle and finally made her way to the west coast that summer. She earned her 200 hour teacher training certificate through Corepower Yoga and immediately went on to complete Corepower Yoga’s 50 hour extensions program. Natalie’s passion lies in creating classes that inspire her students to look beyond limitations and uncover a greater sense of awareness through teaching power vinyasa flow and restorative/yin yoga.

Fitness for me has become an integral part of my life and has re-defined again and again the importance of whole body health. I believe that so much healing and growth can be facilitated through physical movement and as our lives become more automated and sedentary, more than ever we need a way to challenge, connect and transform. Growing up I did a mix of everything. I danced for 11 years and played varsity sports. In college I moved into Mixed Martial Arts and Olympic Lifting. I fought professionally for a number of years and it was an incredible journey to realize the body's strengths, limitations and ability to take on extreme challenges. During that time I was introduce to Teaching and Coaching and never looked back. I have a varied teaching background: Yoga, Cycling, Barre, Kickboxing, Self Defense, Interval Training, and Weight Lifting. Whatever the modality, I thrive off some good beats and a good sweat with incredible people. Overall, my goal is to teach, to connect, and to help people discover health, happiness and what moves them.

  • 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm: Slow Flow

The same Vinyasa style yoga linking breath and movement, only at a slower pace. Not to be mistaken for a less advanced practice, Slow Flow comes with it's own set of challenges!

In today's busy world we often find it near impossible to sit in stillness, even for a moment. Slow Flow allows us to push past our tendency to rush and move quickly. Longer holds intensify each asana forcing the practitioner to really focus, to dig deep for the strength, balance, and endurance to explore poses more deeply. This also allows time to refine, to open up completely and increase flexibility. Moving at a slower pace creates a more mindful, meditative practice. Yoga is a joyful and enlightening practice, take the time to truly enjoy connecting to your body, observing the changes, and expanding your self awareness.

    with Natalie

Fast forward in 2015, she decided to be part of the change and contribute back to the community. Sara got certified in BodyCombat in 2015 and a year later in BodyPump program.
