    with Natalie

It wasn’t until January 2014 that Natalie began practicing yoga. Residing in a small town in Tennessee there were no studios, let alone instructors, to guide her. Determined to find the edge of what yoga had to offer her she pursued her personal practice in her living room.

Months later she moved to Cincinnati, OH to be closer to her family which led to her first experience within a classroom. The sense of community she felt from practicing with others made her realize that the possibilities for healing, connection, and growth were far beyond her understanding. Yoga was no longer just a journey of self-exploration. It was a calling to provide this service of self-discovery and peace of mind to others. Natalie had planned on moving to Seattle and finally made her way to the west coast that summer. She earned her 200 hour teacher training certificate through Corepower Yoga and immediately went on to complete Corepower Yoga’s 50 hour extensions program. Natalie’s passion lies in creating classes that inspire her students to look beyond limitations and uncover a greater sense of awareness through teaching power vinyasa flow and restorative/yin yoga.

Having completed many trainings – including power vinyasa, hatha, kundalini, and yoga sculpt – Danielle’s interests over the years have been fine-tuned to highlight the trifecta of a challenging, alignment oriented physical practice, devotional mantra, and blissful meditation.  Once you get the body out of the way, the soul can soar. Her aim is to inspire as she has been inspired, to empower as she has been empowered, to assist you in cultivating your own connection with self, and to guide you towards up-leveling your practice in a way that is meaningful and relevant to you.  But hopefully you’ll be having too much fun in her class to realize that’s what’s going on.   “When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” ~Pantanjali

Her passion lies in helping everyone in her classes learn to love movement and find empowerment within their own physical beings. Helen's love affair with movement started just about as soon as she could walk, but her fate was sealed when she took her first dance class at age 6. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Michigan she immediately started teaching as much as she could. In 2012 she decided to combine her knowledge of dance with her growing passion as a "professional anatomy nerd" to create her own barre method which she taught as Power Barre classes at the Ann Arbor YMCA. Once in Seattle she became a founding instructor at Bohemian Studios in 2015 where she helped develop the Barre Bohemian method and was a lecturer/mentor for Barre Bohemian teacher trainings. In addition to her barre certification, Helen has studied the Gyrotonic Expansion System and Myofascial-Release Techniques. She lives in north Seattle with her husband and two house rabbits; she'll probably show you pictures.

    with Natalie
