Questions About

FlowCycle

What kind of shoes do I need? Does Flow provide shoes?

Flow provides cycle shoes. If you would like to wear your own shoes, note that the pedals are SPD-cleat compatible.

What should I wear to class?

Wear breathable, lightweight clothing and bring socks. If you wear shorts, we advise against loose-fitting shorter shorts, as they tend to ride up when you sit on the bike.

I’m worried that the class will be too challenging. Is cycle class okay for beginners?

The difficulty level of a cycle class is mostly determined by how much resistance (gear) the rider chooses. Everyone in class is encouraged to ride at their own level and pace.

I see that my class says “with leaderboard.” What does that mean?

Leaderboard technology is used as a way to motivate riders and make class more engaging. Metrics are normalized based on sex and age. If you prefer not to appear on the leaderboard, you can use the Spivi app privacy settings to remove yourself.

How early should I arrive to class?

If it is your first class, arriving about 15 minutes early gives you time to get shoes, fill your water bottle, and get help setting up your bike.
